Testimonials

I was just checking the status of the ring. I checked online and it says "pending." I don't know if you remember, but I ordered my fiance's engagement ring from you and spoke to you several times on the phone. I would just like to say that she loves the ring and I appreciate your outstanding customer service.

Thank you,
Jarrit

What is your return policy?

You will have thirty days from the time of shipment to return your diamond engagement rings. This is a no questions asked, return for any reason policy. You will receive a full refund via your method of original payment. The credit will be issued to you within three days of receiving the return. We do not accept returns if another jeweler has altered the item or if it shows obvious signs of wear. Keep in mind some eternity style wedding rings are impossible to resize so be sure to order one of our free ring sizers to confirm your size before ordering. We consider these to be special orders and they are not returnable. Please see our return policy.

Do you have a warranty?

Yes. Danforth Diamond offers a lifetime warranty on all of our products against defects in materials and workmanship. All of our diamond engagement and wedding rings are carefully inspected for quality before they leave our facility, however, some stones may become loose over time due to regular wear and tear. This is not due to a manufacturing defect but it is our policy to tighten and clean all jewelry one time per year under warranty. This warranty does not include accidental damage, theft, stone loss or damage that is not due to manufacturing defects. In addition, the warranty becomes void should another jeweler alter the product in any way. This warranty does not include shipping to or from our facility.

How can I be sure that I receive the correct size?

We offer our customers a free ring sizer to verify their size before ordering. Order your ring sizer now.
OR
If you want to buy a diamond engagement ring as a surprise, and you have no idea what size she wears, click here for some suggestions on guessing her engagement ring size.

What if my ring doesn’t fit after I receive it?

We will resize all diamond engagement and wedding rings up or down one full size for free one time after purchase. Some eternity style rings are impossible to resize and are considered special order so please use one of our free ring sizers to confirm your size before ordering. There is a $25 fee to resize your ring after the initial resize. This does not include shipping to and from our facility which will be a $20 charge.

Can I expedite the shipping?

It all depends on the item you are buying. Our diamond engagement rings are custom made in the USA and take 5 to 7 business days to make. However some items can be finished and mailed in a day or two. Please contact one of our associates and we can tell you if your order can be rushed.

Should I choose 4 or 6 prongs for my setting?

Most jewelers agree that six prong settings are best for larger diamonds.... 1 carat or bigger. The six prongs can dwarf a smaller stone. Some of our settings are only available in four prongs so be sure to check before ordering.

Do you Ship to Singapore? Europe? Australia?

We will ship to other countries but you must pay via wire transfer or with a US issued credit card. If you choose the wire transfer method we can provide you with all of the information. There is a $25 US charge for overseas wire transfers, and you will need to pay any shipping and duty charges. We can provide you with an estimate of these charges if you would like or you can visit FedEx.com

Can I purchase a setting without the side stones?

We only sell our settings as semi-mounts with side stones.

Can I have other gemstones set into your settings?

If you are interested in having another gemstone set into one of our wedding rings please provide us with the item number and the gemstone name and we can provide you with a price for the setting you are interested in.

Do you offer engraving services?

Most of our rings can be engraved.  It is a $25 charge per ring.  There is a 12-15 character maximum including spaces depending on the ring and the finger size.  Engraving does not effect the lifetime warranty but it does make the ring a special order and therefore non-returnable.  Please contact one of our sales representatives for more information.

Can I special order a ring smaller than a size 4 or larger than a size 10?

Some of our rings are able to be made in other sizes as a special order.  There is a $20 manufacturing charge per ring for sizes smaller than 4 and a $30 manufacturing charge for sizes larger than 10. Since they would be considered a special order, they will be non-returnable unless there is a manufacturing or metal defect.  Please contact our sales department to find out if the ring you are looking at is able to be manufactured in other sizes.

Other Charges:

Soldering - $30 plus $20 shipping equals $50 total
Engraving - $20 per ring.                                                                                                         Resize – The first one is free (up or down one full size).  If more than one full size up or down then the charge is $25 plus $20 for shipping which makes the total $45.  For ALL resizes after the first one, it is $45 ($25 for resize and $20 for shipping).
Rhodium Plating -  $25 plus $20 for shipping

Do you charge sales tax?

We do not charge sales tax for orders placed outside of Virginia.

Do you have gift packaging?

Our jewelry comes in a gold box with a violet ribbon. Our diamond engagement rings and wedding rings come in an elegant wood box with violet packaging. View all gift packaging.

How do you process your credit card orders?

We will place a hold on your credit card when we receive your order to verify that there are sufficient funds in your account. This is just a temporary hold and may be removed from your account after a few days. We do not actually charge your card until the package ships from our facility.

How do I know when my order will ship?

You will receive an e-mail with a FedEx tracking number the evening your package ships from our company. Read our shipping policy.

Why is my ring taking so long?
Watch the "Birth of Your Ring" video to see how your ring is made.

We realize that you are anxious to receive your diamond engagement rings and wedding rings, but all of our engagement rings are made to order. A skilled jeweler crafts each and every engagement ring and you will see the difference in our product. Because of this most of our diamond engagement rings take seven to ten business days to produce. Some fashion items are available for immediate shipping. Watch the video.

Do you have financing?

Unfortunately, we cannot offer financing for our customers at this time. We can split your payment into two different methods. Such as part debit card and part credit card.

Do you have insurance?

Danforth Diamond insures your diamond ring at no cost to you from the time you order until the time it is delivered to the address specified on your order. After your purchase has been received, Danforth Diamond has arranged for you to purchase insurance, at very competitive rates, through Jewelers Mutual Insurance Company, a leading insurer in the jewelry industry. Since 1913, Jewelers Mutual has specialized in insuring jewelry and jewelry businesses in the United States. For more information about Jewelers Mutual and its Personal Jewelry Insurance, visit www.InsureYourJewelry.com or call toll free 1-888-884-2424.

How can I clean my jewelry?

Make-up, lotions, soaps, perfumes, and hairspray will build up on your jewelry, cutting down on the brilliance of the gems. We recommend cleaning in an ammonia solution to keep your ring looking its best. Use 1/3 cup of ammonia to 2/3 cup of hot tap water. To remove caked on dirt (such as cookie dough!) soak for 10 minutes and then gently scrub with a soft toothbrush. Do not use an old toothbrush, because toothpaste remnants are too abrasive. Remember a clean sparkling lower quality diamond will look much better than a dirty flawless one.

Can I see my diamond before it is set in my ring?

It is easy for you to see your diamond after you order. We will send your Danforth diamond to you via FedEx overnight and once you approve it all you need to do is send it back to us and we will create your custom ring for you. We'll pay the shipping charges for delivery of your diamond, and your finished ring, however you are responsible for return postage of your diamond for setting.

Do you have a trade in policy?

We do not currently have a trade in policy for our diamonds. We will accept return of your ring (excluding center stone) after the 30-day return period for a 70% credit to be applied toward future purchases.
