Pricing and Availability: Our diamonds come from a variety of vendors who allow us to display their inventory. Due to the nature of an ever changing virtual inventory, diamonds may sometimes be shown that have already been sold to other customers. Therefore, we cannot guarantee pricing and availability.
In these rare instances, we will do our best to help you find an acceptable alternative within your price range and diamond specifications.
Diamond Certificates: Danforth Diamond carries certified and non-certified diamonds. If you choose a certified diamond or a certified engagement ring, a diamond certificate will be included with your purchase.
Also known as a cert, grading report, or diamond dossier, a diamond certificate confirms the exact properties of your diamond. The diamond cert provides the measurements, weight, cut and quality of the diamond.
The majority of our loose diamonds are GIA certified.
Cut - Very Good
Diamonds graded as Very Good reflect much of the light that enters the stone. These diamonds usually trade in some of their brilliance for added size. They are a cost-effective option, but may begin to stray outside of the preferred range of some buyers in terms of appearance. These diamonds represent the top 25% of diamond cuts.
Color - I
This diamond is nearly colorless. A diamond with I-color is less expensive than any of the colorless grades, but it appears colorless to the untrained eye. I-color diamonds are less expensive than other diamonds, so you may be able to buy a larger diamond for the same price as a higher color grade.
Clarity - VVS1
This diamond has minute inclusions that are extremely difficulty to detect even with 10x magnification. This diamond is an excellent choice as it's inclusions are minor and invisible to the eye. VVS clarity diamonds offers cost savings without sacrificing too much in terms of clarity.
